Apple Silicon is here!!

In the latest launch event held by Apple on 11th November 2020, they have announced the new Silicon processor for Mac line-ups such as Macbook and iMac. Silicon processors have been developed for decades and been used for their Tablets, Watches, and Smartphones. Earlier this year, they have announced to cut ties with Intel - which was the processor they have been using for its Pc line-ups previously and make their own processors for the average workload done by an average OSX user. Silicon chips usually co consume less power and still outputs incredible performances.  The Silicon chips which will be specifically used in Macs are called the "M1". Usually, every computer has its RAMs, GPUs, I/O, separately. But M1 unifies all those components into one set. The Unified memory architecture provides High Bandwidth of data transfer as fast as possible and access to the entire SoC. This is also the first CPU to use 5nm transistors (While AMD  uses 7nm). "M1" has 16 bill

The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene - Review

I just finished reading Brian Greene's  The Elegant Universe ! For starters, this is one of few physics books which got New York Times Bestseller .  Brian Greene explains the unintuitive  String Theory , such that even an average person would understand!   STRING THEORY String theory is an attempt to unify all the laws of physics into a single equation. String theory also tries to join  quantum mechanics and the general theory of relativity , which gets divided by zero (which is impossible in math and physics) when we try to join them together!   Let's see the contents of the book. SPECIAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY  Before starting String theory, we should know why we need String theory. So, Brian starts with teaching relativity. This theory says that time flows differently for two objects moving at different speeds. GENERAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY The general theory of relativity says that gravity is just the bending of spacetime. It also says that time flows slower when we are ne

Space Junk is getting worser and worser!

There are about 5 lakh debris or space junk orbiting our planet at a speed of 28000 km/h! This issue is a rising problem for space stations and institutions. Their velocity is very fast, such that it can go through and damage satellites and spacecraft. WHAT ARE THESE SPACE JUNK These space junk consists mostly of synthetic materials but also some debris of meteoroids. The artificial junks are the unused or dead spacecraft, launch vehicle stages and mission-related debris. There is about 2 lakh debris that outsizes a softball, capable of damaging anything that comes in their way. EVENTS 1996:  a French satellite was damaged due to the explosion of Fench rocket which occurred a decade earlier. February 10, 2009:  a disused Russian spacecraft collided and ruined a functioning a US Iridium telescope. It added more than 2000 debris to the orbit! 2007:  China used missiles to destroy an old weather satellite, adding more than 3000 debris. HOW TO AVOID HITTING BY A DEBRIS Nasa is constru

Different Architectures of NVidia GPUs

In today's blog, we will be discussing the different types of architecture(current) of the NVidia GPUs. You might have noticed some terms like Pascal, Turing and Ampere . These are the three types of architecture in which NVidia Graphics Card works. Pascal Architecture: Pascal is a codename for the GPU architecture developed by NVidia. This architecture was introduced in 2016.  This architecture is primarily used in the GeForce 10 Series  starting with the GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070, which were released on May 17, 2016, and June 10, 2016, respectively.  The architecture was named after the French mathematician Blaise Pascal. This architecture has 64-128 CUDA cores, a memory bandwidth of 720GiB/s, and NVlink. They also announced the RayTracing support for Pascal Architecture in 2019 after a driver update, Turing Architecture: Turing is a codename for the GPU architecture developed by NVidia. This architecture was introduced in 2018. This architecture was primarily used by RTX 20

What are the different editions of WIndows 10?

There are 3 editions in Windows 10. Each edition can be useful in various ways. You can pick the preferred Windows10 from the official website of Windows. If you have been using windows for quite a long time, you might have heard about the different versions of Windows. In this blog, we will be taking a better look at the different editions of Windows 10.  Windows 10 Home Most pre-built computers and laptops are shipped with Windows 10 Home. It contains every feature a common man needs. there are no missing features here when compared to Windows 10 Pro unless you are some sort of a Tech Savy. It does have certain limitations though. This Operating System can only support up to 128GB. You may think why having this much amount of RAM isn't enough. It's because you aren't a Tech Savy. No one usually uses at least more than 64GB RAM either. Another missing "feature" is the BitLocker which allows you to lock your hard drive to encrypt your files. Windows 10 Pro Window

Why are there different types of Mozilla Firefox?

Firefox is a fast and famous browser, developed by a non-profit. Firefox's speed and privacy were the key points that brought them up. By hearing all this, at last, you go to Mozilla Firefox Website to download it. But there are different types! Which one should you choose and which one you should download? STABLE EDITION It is the most used and stable Firefox Browser. It is the one you have seen in your computer lab. Firefox updates it every six weeks, checks and revises and, thus bug-free. BETA EDITION   It is one step ahead from the stable version. Beta versions have the next update or release of the stable version but sooner. Beta also has some minor security things for good. For instance, a developer can run an unpublished add-on in the beta version, but not in the stable version since the stable version does only allow authorised add-on. Beta can be good for those who are curious browser to see the next updates. For the developers, we have the next one! DEV EDITION
