AMD Ryzen
The AMD Ryzen 5000 Series with Zen 3 architecture has been unveiled yesterday during a live launch event. In this blog, we will be looking at the highlights of the launch event. The launch event started off with a great montage of their first launch of AMD processors, their first launch of the Ryzen series, and the first launch of their Threadripper series.

The CEO of AMD, Dr. Lisa Su explained the need for computing power in the quarantine days of 2020. The AMD chips will now also power the new Sony PlayStation 5 and the Microsoft Xbox Series X and series S. This time AMD is giving more importance towards Gamers and Gaming.

AMD Ryzen is also the first to bring the 7nm processors in the market. It is also the best in terms of power efficiency and highest in multi-threaded performance. Zen 3 increases their lead in overall performance and also in power efficiency.

CTO of AMD, Mark explained the capabilities of the Zen 3. The new Zen 3 has a higher max boost, 19% significant IPC uplift, a new core layout, and 2X direct access to L3 cache, all under 7nm die. It also has a unified 8 core complex. These features and innovations keep them ahead of their competitors  - i9-10900k. The direct access to the L3 cache and core makes a significant change in gaming performance. The new Zen 3 is 2.8x more efficient than i9-10900k.

Zen 3 Architecture
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X will be the first processor to use the Zen 3 architecture. It is a 12 core, 24 thread, and has a max boost of up to 4.9GHz. It is 26% faster than AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT in gaming. Strong gaming performance relies on a strong single-core performance and that's exactly what Zen 3 has.

According to the Cinebench benchmarks, it is the only processor to break the 600 scores. they also unveiled two other processors - 5800X and 5600X. This will be the best processor for gaming unless Intel does something. The Ryzen 9 5950X will be the best for gamers and for creators.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X will be priced at $549, Ryzen 9 580X at $449, and Ryzen 9 5600X at $229. The Ryzen 9 5950X will be priced at $799. All of these processors will be globally available on November 5th, 2020.  They have also announced the Zen 4 CPU architecture which will be based on a 5nm die. They have also given a brief look at AMD Radeon RX 6000 GPUs.
